With vast and in-depth knowledge of nation's internal security, Col Sunil Kotnala is a third-generation Army officer. He was commissioned in the 5th Battalion The Garhwal Rifles and went on to command a ‘Special Operations’ battalion on the Indo-Tibet Border. In 25 years of his service, he had a wide operational spectrum all across India. He served in Kashmir as well as in the insurgency-infested North East. A Garhwali by birth, he is a natural and keen mountaineer. Col Kotnala has been awarded the Chief of the Army Staff Commendation Card and General Officer Commanding, Northern Command Commendation Card twice for his outstanding services. He published his first book, Holy Warriors, in 2017 which is now being converted into a web series. It is based on his personal experiences fighting terrorism in Kashmir. This is his second attempt at writing.

Group Captain Atul Chandra Barua, VSM, 79, served in the Indian Air Force for thirty years till his voluntary retirement in 1999. He was an Aeronautical Engineer serving in different capacities in the front-line Air Bases of India. He earned many laurels while in service to the Nation. Post-retirement, his main thrust has been to help destitute old women find succour in the twilight years of their life through his organization. Seneh also provides free sanitary napkins to young school-going girls and food to wards of poor cancer patients. This is his first literary attempt in book form. He has written several articles on old-age care and other related subjects in English and vernacular-language newspapers and magazines.
